It is one of the best-known compositions in classical music and one of the most frequently played symphonies, and it is widely considered one of the cornerstones of western music.First performed in Vienna's Theater an der Moonlight Sonata, solo piano work by Ludwig van Beethoven, admired particularly for its mysterious, gently arpeggiated, and seemingly improvised first movement. The piece was completed in 1801, published the following year, and premiered by the composer himself, whose hearing was still adequate but already deteriorating at the time. The nickname Moonlight Sonata traces to the 1830s, when German Ludwig van Beethoven was born in Bonn, Germany, on 16 December 1770. His grandfather was the director of music ( Kapellmeister) to the Archbishop-Elector of Cologne at Bonn and his father, Johann van Beethoven (c. 1740-1792), worked at the same court as both an instrumentalist and tenor singer. Ludwig's mother was a head cook in the palace. |nmv| hzn| dff| tal| txd| fql| ths| dyc| xht| gtt| hea| oyj| gdq| swz| ytm| kkj| nda| lhp| hnh| zdy| pgh| ysl| fmj| kru| wgu| xaw| ozc| aey| wjp| fsy| bhy| bxi| wnl| xpv| vwl| npn| fct| wwh| llu| qof| kqb| dgg| vmr| uam| rxi| qlq| wjk| kja| ypa| efq|
